Ways To Give

Your tax-deductible gift to the American Alpine Club helps the members and volunteers pursue the mission and core programs of the club. From working on the Denali management plan to working with the Huascaran National Park, from Clean Climber campaigns in Indian Creek to the Khumbu restoration project, your donation is working to protect the climbing experience for years to come.

Alongside flagship conservation efforts, our Library, the American Alpine Journal and the AAC Grants program serve to inspire generations of climbers to greater heights. Please help inspire your fellow climbers and enhance the climbing experience for years to come.

There are many ways to support the American Alpine Club. Please read on and find your preferred method of support:

One-Time Gift

Make a one-time donation to the AAC.

Monthly Giving Program

As a member of our monthly giving program, you provide donations directly from your credit card to the American Alpine Club over an extended period of time. Monthly contributions will begin on the date of your first contribution and continue as long as you wish. You can change, suspend or cancel your gift at any time. Your credit card statement serves as your receipt and you will receive an annual statement at the end of the year. Become a monthly giving member by calling Lauren Shockey, Membership Coordinator, at 303-384-0110 x35.

Matched Gift

Did you know that you could double or triple your dollar donations to the AAC? Through a matched gift, you can not only increase your giving but also help direct other employees in your company to donate to the AAC. Many companies offer their employees an opportunity to have donations to their favorite non-profit organization doubled by matching the money raised dollar for dollar. Matched giving is a great way for companies to recognize and support the interests of their employees while helping on a philanthropic level.

The AAC has a recognized 501(c)(3) (tax-exempt) status by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service and is eligible to receive matching gifts. Why not ask your employer if they have a matched giving program to support you with your fundraising. To participate, please request a matching gift form from your HR department and complete it. Send us your completed matching gift form and we will notify you when your gift has been matched. Please send to the AAC office:
