Horseshoe Canyon Ranch, site of the wild and crazy 24 Hours of HorseshoeHell and some of the Midwest’s best climbing, is offering a 20% discount to members who stay in cabins or campsites at the Jasper, AR ranch.
The New Zealand Alpine Club is now offering a discount to AAC members at many of its mountain huts: members pay half the usual charge (the same discount as Kiwi members get). Go to www.alpineclub.org.nz and look under the “Huts” section to see what’s available. Please note that the discount does not apply to “DOC” huts.
North Cascades Basecamp is located in Mazama, WA where the Methow Valley meets the North Cascades. The lodge has six rooms and a satellite cabin that sleeps seven. There are single and multi-pitch rock and ice climbing across the street, out-the-door trail running, mountain biking, hiking, and skiing on 200 km of trails. Only a 20-minute drive from world class alpine climbing and spring touring at Washington Pass – including the famous Liberty Bell Crack, one of the 50 classic climbs in North America. The Snowbird Hut provides access to a wide variety of skiing terrain. All skill levels can be accommodated and the Snowbird Glacier provides miles of opportunities. For those of you wishing to have a high-quality backcountry experience, this is the place for you! The hut is a 16-foot diameter metal dome, located at 4,820 ft. in the southern Talkeetna Mountains, north of the town of Palmer. It is insulated and heated, and one only needs to bring their own personal equipment to be able to fully enjoy their experience. Location: Talkeetna Mountains, on a lateral moraine, high on the Snowbird Glacier.

The Keene Farm - Owned by the Alpine Club of Canada, located in the Adirondack Forest Reserve near Keene in northern New York state. Mountain Studies Institute at the Historic Avon Hotel - Located in Silverton, Colorado, minutes away from Eureka Ice Climbing and Silverton Mountain ski area in the heart of the San Juan mountains.
