ALAN NELSON, 1959–2007

Alan Nelson, an AAC member for nearly 30 years, died from cancer in late December at age 49. Nelson was a prolific creator of rock climbing routes, from run-out slab pitches to modern sport climbs, first in California and then in Colorado, where he lived at the time of his death.
