Great Falls Park Update

The revised General Management Plan/Environmental Impact Statement for Great Falls Park Virginia has apparently been approved for publication and should be released in the fall.

The draft version of this plan, released in September 2005, had potentially significant implications for rockclimbing in the park, which is the closest real climbing area to Washington DC. Over the last year, climber concerns have been primarily articulated through Friends of Great Falls, a climber advocacy group http://www.FriendsofGreatFalls.com
