Wyoming has innumerable amazing climbing destinations. Alpine, sport, bouldering, trad—whatever your chosen discipline. Check out the newly developed cliffs in Ten Sleep, the stunning cracks of Devil’s Tower, or the burly offwidths at Vedauwoo. And don’t forget Sinks Canyon, Wild Iris, and the Wind Rivers! Come to Wyoming, and if you’re ever done sampling our amazing stone, well, then you can go to the Tetons!

Wyoming Section Chair
Don Foote. Growing up watching firefighters use ropes for rescue, Don took an interest of ropes of all sizes. He moved to Cody, WY to become a wildland firefighter in 1988. He began climbing ice in ‘89 and has since climbed many 14ers and ice in Ouray, Vail, Hyalite, and other great spots. Don organized the first South Fork Waterfall Ice Festival—now in its 14th year—in 1998. Don loves representing the AAC and welcoming new members.
