The Denali Mountaineering Centennial celebrates the 100th anniversary of the mountains first ascent. Three major events will take place in 2013: there will be a repeat of the first ascent, the Sustainable Summits Conference will take place, and then there will be a Denali Mountaineering slideshow and film festival in Anchorage.
To conclude the Sustainable Summits Conference, the American Alpine Club's Alaska Section will host a Mountaineering Centennial Party in Anchorage at approximately 7 p.m. on September 13. This will be a fun event to celebrate 100 years of Denali mountaineering.

Denali Centennial Climb 2013
The 2013 centennial climbing team is comprised of bloodline descendents of the first ascent team, known as the Stuck-Karstens Expedition. They will retrace their forefather's footsteps beginning this spring. Follow their journey here.
