Idaho Section Co-Chairs
Kammie Cuneo loves all things outdoors. She especially loves rocks. And dirt! So Idaho is a great home for her having plenty of all three. Kammie moved to the Boise area from Virginia with her family a few years ago and is thrilled to be back in the mountains. Exchanging the rolling hills and diverse biology of Virginia for the spectacularly rugged terrain of Idaho was a welcomed change. While her academic and professional endeavors have been technical and legal, her passions have always revolved around nature, outreach, and using one to connect with the other. Her experience with the AAC over the past six years has been nothing but positive and enriched by meeting fantastic people. Needless to say that she is thrilled to take a more active part and looks forward to connecting with Idaho at a whole new level.
Prior to landing in North Idaho, Jason Luthy spent several years exploring the US while guiding and teaching. When not working he sought out places to park his car and explore climbing locations from Zion to the runout slabs of North Carolina. After taking root in the Selkirk Mountains of North Idaho, Jason combined his love of teaching and the outdoors to form a wilderness medical school. As a board member of the climbing cooperative in Sandpoint, ID and an active member of the local climbing community, Jason has a passion for sharing the the sport of climbing with both visitors and local climbers. Jason is excited to work with the American Alpine Club to support climbing in Idaho.
