Wilderness First Aid is a basic class in back country emergency response. The 16 hour course, delivered by Ascent Adventure Consultants, will be tailored by the instructor, AAC member Danny McCracken, to the specifics of the remote climbing environment - far from EMS services. Ascent Adventure Consultants is a Red Cross Authorized Provider of wilderness first aid instruction. Successful completion of the course results in three year certification.

The class will cover assessment and urgent first aid techniques. It

is appropriate for anyone regardless of experience level. No

prerequisites are required.

An optional CPR class will be offered the evening of July 17.
