The dinner is on Saturday, February 20, 2010 and will feature keynote speaker Jim Collins, the best-selling business author. Because Jim has also been an avid rock climber for 35 years, we have the lucky opportunity to host him. His business books Built to Last, Good to Great, and How the Mighty Fall have sold millions of copies, and he has worked as a speaker and consultant for many of the world’s leading companies. This is the only opportunity in the foreseeable future for the greater Denver community to meet Jim and hear his insights about creating enduring success even in difficult times. At the dinner the AAC will also present four major awards to celebrated climbers Royal Robbins, Conrad Anker, Doug Robinson, and Mark Richey. Read more about each recipient and award here.
This year's event will be hosted at the Inverness Hotel in Denver, CO. Resort lodging is available at the Inverness for dinner guests at a $50 discount off of standard rates. Also available this year is pricing for couples and reduced rates for members and non-members. Dinner registration opened on Monday, November 16 and lists all ticket options and pricing.
A private VIP session with Jim is available to dinner guests at the Patron level ($500 and above) and will begin promptly at 4:30 PM. Cocktails and silent auction will begin at 5:30 PM, followed by dinner, awards presentation, live auction, and keynote speaker. Stay tuned for a schedule of the evening's activities to be posted online, in E-News, and elsewhere.
